Composite materials are lightweight, strong, waterproof and durable. These qualities, along with their suitability for moulding into almost any shape, make them an extremely versatile construction medium.
At Hawking Composites, our core experience is in the Marine industry, with many boat designs under our belt. However, we have also crafted items for many other applications. Here are some examples of what we can do:

Hawking Composites have been involved in the construction of many boats, including Hamble Yacht Services' 'Phoenix', various Tremlett Power Boat models and smaller day fishers like 'Andante'. We have also worked on rowing boats and have several successful ocean rowing boats under our belt. We were also the main constructor for the ambitious 'Spirit of Teignmouth' trimaran. This was a 21 metre sailing yacht intended to circumnavigate the world but unfortunately was never completed because of funding issues. |

| Hawking Composites have recently undertaken a prestigious project to fabricate passenger shelters for the light shuttle railway at Heathrow T5. We are also often contracted to use our skills on flat roofs or arches where composite materials offer a lightweight and more durable alternative to traditional felt and bitumen. | ||

| Because we can mould composite materials very precisely we are often asked to create replacement body panels for vehicles. We used carbon fibre for the racing Jaguar D-Type because of its extra strength and lightness. We have also produced waterproof linings for vans, following accurately the interior contours. If we can take a moulding from it, we can produce a faithful replica in carbon or glass. | ||

| The waterproof and unobtrusive qualities of fibre glass make it ideal for use in bathrooms. We can produce all kinds of domestic moulds including sinks, shower trays and baths at competitive prices. We have also waterproofed the shell of a room in order to create a wet room. Water tanks and troughs are also easily repaired at a fraction of the cost of buying a new one. | ||
